Runway Accessories Spring 2015

An up close view of spring's accessory trends.

Fausto Puglisi embellished black leather gladiator sandals with studs and crystals for a glamorous, rock ’n’ roll look.

Simone Rocha showed signature Plexi heeled brogues in a vibrant floral pattern with a vintage feel.

Michael van der Ham teamed up with eyewear label Lunettes Kollektion to develop a range of cool sunglasses, including a mirrored round style with graphic embossed details.

Newcomer Ashley Williams gave a twist to retro box bags with pop accents.

Marc Jacobs: They may have once been the answer to aching feet, but these velvet-encrusted Dr. Scholl’s — à la Marc Jacobs — delivered a dose of insta-chic.

During a season in which sensible flats or a single-sole heel prevail, Calvin Klein’s Francisco Costa countered with a thick platform slingback.

Ralph Lauren: Ralph Lauren added a dose of colorful bling to his safari mood with these multistrand gemstone necklaces in bib styles (here) and in chokers shown with embellishments on ready-to-wear.

Marc by Marc Jacobs: Calling all cool kids — this retro phone design done as a handbag will handle all of your rave essentials.

3.1 Phillip Lim: Continuing with his bedroom furnishings theme, Phillip Lim’s bags were inspired by pillow sacks, though the effect was certainly more geometric than cozy.

Despite their waning popularity, the extreme platform has always been a house staple Chez Versus (and at big sister Versace), but Anthony Vaccarelli offered a refreshing alternative with this single sole mule with thick ankle cuff.

Rev those fashion engines! Alexander Wang's new motorcycle gear inspired bag has all the makings for a "hit" bag.
